I was able to see the intruder once the alarm company informed me.
They hid when the sheriff arrived. I was able to tell the sheriff by calling dispatch exactly where the intruder was.
I honestly feel the intruder would not have been caught if it wasn’t for my Q-See QT View. The bad guy had secured the home from the inside and there were no signs of the break in for the sheriff to see externally giving no reason to enter. That’s how typical alarm notifications are handled. The house is a very remote location so law enforcement response is 30 minutes at best. So I guess as far as break ins go, mine was a good one because the bad guy was caught and all questions are answered. I got to watch all angles of the ordeal by using the recording options that store video after the event.
I saved key moments and sent them to the district attorney too. It’s great for just checking out your home when you aren’t home. Checking on the kids, pets, packages at the door, different seasons. App Update in May 2018 was quirky at first. Now the app works better than I’ve ever experienced. So pleased and appreciative. Thank you guys! October 2017:This app is so unreliable. My family has the same system with a different internet provider and experiences exactly the same problems.
We’ve had our systems about 6 months and have already had to place 5 calls for customer service. Sometimes spending 1-2 hours on the phone and the issue isn’t resolved until hours later. The purpose of having cameras is to have the capability to check in on your home from your smart phone or tablet/ iPad when away. If they don’t work half the time, what’s the point? Also, this app is not compatible with the new software upgrade for the iPad, but works for the iPhone, with the exact same software upgrade.
The company said they do not know when they Will have a compatible app for the upgrades. I have also noticed the app is EXTRA glitchy on our smart phones since installing the software update for Apple-so it must not be all that compatible.

It's up and down constantly. When it works it is pretty good with function and quality. But.you can not count on it! If you have doubts I also have a nest cam on the same remote network and it ALWAYS works.so it isn't my network or connectivity.
